Stop me if you have heard this one before, but what if, MAN was THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME OF ALL? Eh? Makes you think!

Ok, in this case it is WOMAN who is THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME OF ALL. Namely, Charlize Theron, who, after a bit of backstory involving the death of her partner (Eric Bana) in a freak - if highly avoidable - mountaineering accident, finds herself on a pensive journey to the Australian outback.

Here she meets Ben (Taron Egerton), an Aussie backwoodsman and loner who clues her in to a sweet camping area just off the beaten track. Needless to say, this turns out to be Ben's personal hunting ground where he pursues THE MOST DAN... yeah, well, you get it.

Cue lots of frantic chasing and crossbow near-misses. This actually veers away from what could be an entirely predictable chase movie, as the pair are eventually forced to work together to survive mutual injuries and the harsh outback.

Theron and Egerton both do decent work with the thin script although Egerton's performance is perhaps a little over-egged. The final mountaineering sequence is extremely tense and well done.
